Sodality of the Holy Rosary

PRAYING THE ROSARY IN CHURCH TOGETHER IS THE “MEETING”

There are no other required meetings. There is no record keeping. It is all the honor system.

REGULAR PUBLIC ROSARY IN CHURCH

The essential requirement is that one has integrated praying the Holy Rosary in church publicly and as a group into one’s life with a certain regularity and deliberateness. The frequency is up to the Member.

PRIVATE INTENTION FOR INCREASED NUMBERS

The member will keep in his heart the private prayer intention: “That more parishioners are given the grace to be present when our parish publicly prays the Holy Rosary before the Blessed Sacrament.”

AWARENESS OF BEING A MEMBER OF A HOLY MOVEMENT

The member is conscious of being part of something bigger than one’s private devotion. He is part of the pious association we are calling the “The Sodality of the Holy Rosary.” By thus spiritually associating with others more graces will be won for the Member and for our parish.

ROSTER

The parish will keep a roster of the members which could be used for occasional communications with the Sodality members and prayer requests.

AUXILIARY MEMBERSHIP

Unlike our Daily Mass Sodality and Eucharistic Adoration Sodality, it is possible to be an Auxiliary Member of the Sodality of the Holy Rosary. An Auxiliary Member is firmly committed to praying the Rosary daily, but not necessarily in church.
