Religious Education
Religious Education for Adults
Father de Rosa hosts a course on the fundamentals of the Catholic Faith that culminates at the Easter Vigil. This course is designed to instruct non-Catholics who are inquiring about the Catholic Faith. However, others are welcome to sign up for ongoing education.
If you know someone who might be interested in becoming a Catholic and wishes to learn more, please have them contact Fr. de Rosa at the office.
The day, dates, and times will be worked out with those interested.
Religious Education for Children
The mission of the Religious Education program at St. Anthony Mission is to assist parents in the formation of their children in their Catholic Faith while striving to instill an abiding love of God and neighbor. We strive to impart to each child the doctrines of our Faith in its fullness, as both knowledge to be learned and a life to be lived.
Currently, we offer classes for kindergarten through sixth grade and Confirmation classes for those in 7th grade and up who need to be confirmed. Please contact Terri Tolley or Fr. de Rosa if you would like to help with our parish youth.
Sacrament Prep classes for First Penance/First Communion are a two-year commitment of:
First Holy Communion Preparation 1 (normally first graders) and
First Holy Communion Preparation 2 (normally second graders).
Completion of both years is mandatory for children in lower elementary school. Older children will be prepared in other classes or programs.
Confirmation is celebrated at St. Anthony in the fall. Students begin the two-year preparation in the fall of seventh grade. Our classes meet on Sundays and Wednesdays throughout the traditional school year. We also hold a Catholic Vacation Bible School each summer.
